On July 17-18th 2024, Master of Phytopathology student Belinda Winona participated as a presenter in The 9th University Consortium Graduate Forum. This activity is part of the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) University Consortium with the main organizer, namely the Faculty of Animal Science, and supporting organizers, namely the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Forestry and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM. This activity is included in the international scale because, in addition to being attended by several graduate students who became presenters from several faculties at UGM, many students from various universities in other countries were also involved as presenters, namely from the Philippines, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand. The purpose of this activity is to broaden the horizons of global issues, especially in emerging academic and scientific fields, and also to build international collaborations and networks, where students can connect with academics, researchers, and students from various countries, opening up opportunities for exchange of ideas and joint research. Through this opportunity, students can also improve their communication, presentation, and foreign language skills, which are crucial in the academic and professional world. This activity serves as a platform to encourage the development of innovation through cross-cultural discussions, as well as provide motivation for students to continue their studies or research to a higher level. In addition, this seminar is often a place for students to get information about scholarships and international exchange programs, which can expand educational and career opportunities in the future
